Reflections for Patrolman Jeremy T. Charron

Officer Charron, it has been 27 years since you were taken from us. I see the memorial plaque to you and Mke Briggs regularly as I go through the Epsom traffic circle. New Hampshire law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn, and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your military and 1 year of law enforcement service.

Officer Charron,
On today, the 26th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the USMC. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Officer Charron, it has been 29 years since you were taken from us. I still remember the day very clearly. I was off duty and going to a race track with a neighboring Chief when he told me of your assassination. I thought he was talking about the 2 troopers we honored the day before, and he had to repeatedly convince me it was a 3rd officer. I was one of the hundreds standing outside Hillsboro-Deering High School for your funeral. I have always been amazed at how tall and strong your father was, thanking many of us for being there to support him and your family.

New Hampshire law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your military and law enforcement service.

I remember when we scuba-dived in Okinawa as young Marines. Life was fresh and we were so young. We had the world at our feet. We dreamed of being civilian LEOs. Now I am an old man. I think of you often and hopefully will see you again one day my brother. Semper-Fi.

Jeremy, Always in my thoughts, good man. Lackland AFB, Texas, MP Training. We ran to the gym and back from it everyday. I like to think that your sacrifice spared some innocent person in the community from being murdered by those violent, loser criminals. Peace....

Thinking of you today. I remember you from way back in Lackland AFB in 1992-1993 when we were there for MOS school in the Marines. We were stationed together again at Camp Lejuene. Always positive and made everyone happy to be around you. Semper Fi my brother. Ill see you again someday.

Hard to believe it has been 23 years since you were taken from us. This is the first year since that day I have not gone to Short Falls and the Epsom Memorial Circle to spend time with you. I want you to know that even though Im in Florida now you are not forgotten. Semper Fi

I just saw that one of the two defendants responsible for your horrific murder just walked away from the "Sober House" he was paroled to and walked away from his parole, AGAIN, as this is the second time he has walked away from his parole. I can't even begin to put into words how not only infuriating this is but how confusing it is too. It absolutely baffles me how all we here today are erroneous and false narrative complaints from media and politicians about a broken justice system. Citing of course the described "injustices" involving LE doing nothing more but carrying out the dangerous day to day duties and job performances, yet when the most egregious injustice like this occurs we here nothing or very little. Heaven Forbid there should be any further victims as a result of this absurdity, and I pray for swift and safe action to get this monster back in custody where he belongs. God Bless you Officer Charron and all of your brother and sister officers up there and of course, your family. RIP and keep watch over your brethren LE from above my friend and THANK YOU for your service!!

I can't believe it's been 20 years! I miss you everyday... your death was so senseless but your legacy lives on. You were so special. Our days at NHTI are some of the best! I still can hear your laugh. I wish you were here with us, you would have made a difference in this hateful world! But today I remember you and what a great friend yoi were to all that had the honor of knowing you. Rest easy my friend, till we meet again!

What a sad day that was in 1997. The recent events in Dallas TX have me reflecting on this young man and his sacrifice.
I had only fairly recently moved on from policing in the very same town, having made the very same patrol countless times. That gave me great pause as Mrs and I turned the car around from vacation to attend the service. I did not get to know this Marine. But was able to wish him well in his new job one day on the road. He seemed so full of promise. I remember his very able uncle, the chief one town over, coming to help me with a suspect one night. So Jeremy had lawman in his blood for sure.
Let us never take our "Thin Blue Line" for granted. God bless him and the family he left behind, forever and always.
