The many days and nights we spent on stand-by and the board games we would play are crystal clear in my thoughts. You're sorely missed and thought of often and it pains me to see that justice has not been upheld for the sacrificies you and others had given on that terrible day. I will always cherish the times we spent and trained together and know of the positive impact you have left upon me. You will always be an inspiration to those who know you personally and those who have only read about you. God Bless.

I remember that fateful day as if it were yesterday. I remember the sadness, the anger, and the regret that many of us felt. The pain of losing you will never leave many of those who were there. Just know that your memory will never leave us as well.

It's been four years and a week today since that fateful day. Your wife and children are safe and being cared for. Your mother misses you so much. Her life ceased to move forward on the day you died. I visited your gravesight in January of this year. It was nice. I spent two hours there and cried. You will be honored as long as I have an opportunity to tell people about you and how I wish all of our staff were half as brave as you. You are still my HERO! See you at the end of my watch.

Scott: Although we never met, I have heard alot of great things about you and your dedication to your family and fellow staff members. It is my understanding that in your last moments, you prevented another C.O. from being senselessly killed. Even after being mortally wounded, you found the strength to fight for the life of another "white shirt". I would have been proud to have worked the ranges with you. Any of us would. It is apparent that your last hour was undoubtedly your best hour, so rest easy knowing that the job continues and you continue with it. You have our greatest respect and you will never be forgotten. On behalf of the Correctional staff at FCI SCHUYLKILL, we thank you. May God keep you in the palm of his hand.

It's been four years since you gave your life in the performance of your duties. As a fellow correctional worker, I honor your memory and pray that your family has found a way to cope with the sacrifice you made.

The inmate charged with your murder has not yet been brought to trial. When will justice be served?

God bless your family and help them with your loss.

I WOULD SIT IN THE CONTROL CENTER AT FPC NELLIS AND SCOTT WOULD SEND HUMOROUS E-MAIL MESSAGES TO ME LIKE, "DO YOU HAVE ANY GREY POUPON" (I WAS AT A MINIMUM, AND HE WAS AT A MAX). HE WAS ALWAYS EAGER TO ASSIST ME IN ACHIEVING COMPLIANCE WITH THE NEW LAN COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT SEEMED TO CONSTANTLY LOCK UP. MANY LATE NIGHTS AND EARLY MORNINGS WERE SHARED TALKING OF OUR KIDS AND FUTURE PLANS REGARDING BARBEQUES AND OFF-DUTY GET-TOGETHERS IN LAS VEGAS AND LOMPOC. I RETURNED TO LOMPOC IN 1999 WITH MY WIFE (ALSO A DEPUTY) AND VISITED SCOTT'S MEMORIAL AT THE USP FITNESS CENTER. WHEN MY WIFE ASKED ME IF I KNEW THIS FALLEN COMRADE, I WAS HONORED TO SAY THAT I KNEW HIM. SCOTT IS SORELY MISSED....
