My sector was the second Rmp to respond , the response from Ems was Immediate , at the time All the major news vans were at the 46pct covering another story (less than 2.5 city block away .) At the time a reporter from 1010wins allowed me and my partner to use his cell phone to call our families to let them know we were ok. Never met Kevin , but we graduated the academy at the same time. Rest in Peace

I was working in the 46 Pct the night Kevin was shot, and had to make numerous notifications of 2 P.O.'s shot. Bad night. I pray for him and his family often, especially on March 14th.

It was my honor to research newspapers, magazines, online & books to find your ID CARD Photo. I found this photo in a 1997 NYPD MEDAL DAY BOOKLET about your heroic sacrifice. I felt it was necessary to have a photo on this website so that your family & friends can remember you. Rest Easy Hero! Always Remembered!

Kevin and his partner worked PSA 2 on the late tours when my partner and I worked the late tours in the 77. Kevin and I became friends quickly. We backed them in their jobs in the Albany and Kingsborough Shyteholes and they backed us on ours everywhere in the 77. Kevin was an active cop with a bright smile, quick wit and great street sense. I got promoted in the summer of 1995. I had to spend a couple of days training in PSA 2 because of the pending merge. Kevin and I had a great time hanging out at the PSA. The night he was killed was the first time I cried hard on the job. I still miss him. The NYPD lost a great one that night, and a family lost a wonderful father, husband, and son. I can't believe it's been 19 years. RIP Brother. I will never forget.

I remember vouchering evidence in the 75 Pct. after a search warrant when we heard that someone in Street Crime had been shot. We all thought of you but figured, what are the odds? The odds weren't in your favor that night, brother. You lived for, and died for, the job. The NYPD lost one of its best that day. We still miss and remember you, and I know that you are watching out for all of us to this day.

An Irish Blessing

(A Blessing from St. Patrick)

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand

Rest in peace Kevin. I was just recalling some of my fond memories of serving in the old Street Crime Unit. We did own the night back then. Our small unit of 50 took more illegal guns off the streets then the rest of the entire dept, combined. You paid the ultimate price brother. You are NOT forgotten.
