As the anniversary of your death approaches, I feel the need to leave another note here. My previous comment falls far short of the wonderful person you were. And the impact you had on my life, my siblings and my parents. I was very young when you died but my memories of you are strong. You were kind, loving, patient and fair. You were the perfect grandpa. If only you could have been with us a few more years.
I love you grandpa! Marleen

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
