Sir, we installed a memorial sign for you last week at the location of your death. The City has changed a lot in 103 years, but your sacrifice is not forgotten. When I went to look at your sign, it attracted attention and I told your story to people that asked. May you never be forgotten.

How wonderful to find you after so many years! My Grandmother, Nora, used to tell me about her one brother who died young being a policeman for LAPD. She would have loved seeing this memorial., and knowing you have not been forgotten.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Policeman Wylie - You were the first among us to die in a traffic collision. So many good hearted LAPD cops have followed. We're told that we can't help anyone if we don't get there in one piece, yet...bad things happen. And, sadly, they always will. We pray that you rest in peace, Sir.
