Reflections for Sergeant Ronald A. Wise

on the 59th Anniversary of your death, today I am honoring your sacrifice and that of your Wife Ellen and your 2 Daughters ... It is hard to raise 2 children on your own.
You will never be forgotten Sergeant Wise.
I hope the child you helped save has grown up to be a productive member of society.
Continue to rest in peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

On the 44th anniversary of Sergeant Wise's death, we honored his service in our patrol briefing by reading his entry from ODMP. Each day, we honor one fallen officer on the anniversary of their death so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers inherent in our job. Sergeant Wise is not forgotten.

My husband Sergeant Ronald Wise gave his life to save a child, but I was left with two little girls to raise all alone without much help or much income. He was a loving husband and father as well as a hero. He will never be forgotten.

God bless you. Until we meet again.
Your loving wife Ellen.

You died a very violent death, protecting a young child. I had heard your story form several older veteran officers. I walked past your plaque for over 17+ years exiting briefing, and had always admired your sacrifice and courage.

I had met the Attorney that had represented your killer in court one morning many years ago. He angered me greatly and I let him know it.

May God Bless your soul and you not be forgotten!
