Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Sheriff Wilson,
On today, the 74th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Boone County. It took another three years, but at least one of your murderers finally got the justice that he deserved.

As a former Boone County Deputy, I learned of your bravery on that summer day in June of 1933. The citizens of Boone have never forgot you, with a bell in your honor in front of the Courthouse and the street which bears your name, leads to the new Boone County Sheriff's department and jail. A constant reminder to all the deputies that travel that road each day of your ultimate sacrifice. RIP

Sheriff Wilson, as a long time citizen of Boone County, Missouri I want to thank you for your service and sacrafice to the citizens. My grandmother always told me that she had been proud to know you, and that, although your term was cut short, you served with honor. You would be proud to know that your grandson, also named Roger Wilson, followed your footsteps into politics and served the people of Missouri well. He most recently served as the states governor. Again, thank you so much for your service. You truly were a hero.
