Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Officer Robert L. Williams

Today I lost my father. In 1968. I wish he could see me, his daughter and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. One day, Dad, we will all be together.❤️

I joined the NMPD in 1967 and worked the downtown area with Bob, in fact we shared an apartment for a while. He was a great police officer in 1967, but he was an officer for his time, not today. I would not be a police officer in today's Nashville. So much has changed since that time. Both good and not so good. I will never forget Bob Williams. He help mold me into the officer I became and my thirty -year career that followed. Tommy Jacobs, RIP brother.

Bob"slim", was my dad. I so wish he could see his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Until we meet again, RIP, Daddy.

Your heroism and service is honored today on the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
