Rest in peace Detective Williams.

This is to remember the Grandfather I never got to meet. His passing 9 years before my birth has always left a hole in my heart. The stories of his dedication as a peace officer and his passion for baseball have always given me wonderful memories. My Grandmother, Pansy, loved him dearly to the day she passed.
I hope he is enjoying eternal peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 62nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
You will always be honored and revered as time never diminishes,
Rest In Peace

Sir,
Last year as I was attending Police Week in DC and visiting my husbands name on the memorial wall, something was telling me to look up to the left side of the wall. There starring back at me (several lines above his name on the panel to the left) was your name. The ironic part of all of this is that my husbands name is also Duke.
God bless you and your family.
