Andre,
We have never met but we started in law enforcement the same year. I had the honor of meeting your Big Brother, yesterday, here in McDonough GA. He told me your story. I was moved by the love he still carries for you today, so many years later.

You truly are a hero and your truly are missed. I have lost close friends before. The emotion I feel for their loss still burns inside me today. We often ask God why, or even blame him for taking those so dear to us.

I have come to realize that we as Law Enforcement Officer's agree to take the risk of the job in order that we may help, serve and save others no matter what the sacrifice, that is exactly what you did. As a fellow veteran and officer I just want to thank you and God. Thank you for your sacrifice in saving that woman from the Mississippi River. Thank God for bringing you home to his glorious kingdom.

Simply meeting your Big Brother and listening to him speak of you, I could feel the pride and love he carries for you. This moved me beyond comprehension. It stuck with me all day and motivated this posting. You Big Brother is an amazing man. It goes to show me that you are too. Not only that but an amazing Peace Officer and public servant. My only regret is that I never got to meet you. But yet, I feel I have through your Brother.

I want to close by saying God blessings us all in his way. Even though I could see the pain in your brother for losing you, I can also see God's blessing through his heart and his love for you and all Peace Officers. You need not worry about him, God fills his heart. We ask that you Be at peace knowing that we all are carrying on your fight and that "YOU ARE NOT NOR EVER WILL BE FORGOTTEN" not as long as we have voices to tell your story.. God Bless you brother. Your Big Brother is a Hero, and no monument will bring him back. Politicians don't remember Hero's until they need one. I was the same age as your brother, and was shot in the line of duty on June 17th 1988. The same year as your brothers death. I feel a connection to him for whatever reason, and as a fellow law enforcement officer, I just wanted to recognize your brother's heroizim in attempting to save another human being. He risked his life even though it placed his in harm's way. He left this earth way too soon, but I assure you that he is proud, as well as you should be, for him to be a real Hero.
