Your heroism and service is honored today on the 84th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

William James Fagan, the man who shot Special Agent Williard, died 03/17 1931 in Freestone County, certificate #12837. His 99 year sentence was overturned and he was brought to trial a second time only to have the jury deadlocked on the verdict. Judge H. Fountain Kirby dismissed the charge of murder and had set Wm Fagan free. Fagan was a free man at the time of his death.
