Your heroism and service is honored today, the 106th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, not even 106 years.

Rest In Peace

Tombstone Epitaph, February 11th, 1904

Deputy Sheriff Meets Death While in Discharge of Duty.

Deputy Sheriff Arthur Wight was brought to Tombstone last evening from Black Diamond Mine, where he had been mortally wounded in the discharge of his official duties. The unfortunate officer died about an hour after his arrival, and, although suffering great pain from a bullet wound, he met death heroically and bravely...

...Before leaving Black Diamond, the wounded officer, realizing that his end was near, made a deposition of the circumstances before Justice Monmonier and named his three assailants...

(Office Wight rests remembered in plot C-4-3 of Tombstone City Cemetery)
