Seattle PD tracked me down for Detective Wells citation. The Newark, CA police department suited up in full dress and presented his award to me. It was an eye watering ceremony even over 100 years later. My younger sister has his badge still. Thank you to all the officers that are no longer with us because they gave everything for our safety.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 112th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Rest In Peace
