To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

It is sick and wrong that your life was only worth 13yrs. Almost 40yrs have gone by since your passing, still not forgotten.

Officer Wells,
On today, the 36th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Detroit. It's nice to know that there are still some private citizens out there like that taxi driver who witnessed your murder and detained your murderer. But it boggles my mind that your murderer was paroled after only serving 13 years.
