In 2016, I retired from the Las Vegas metropolitan police department and still to this day i remember 1986 when i worked at the joliet facility. It felt strange that morning when i showed up to to relieve Henry of post and he wasn't there, he always came to work. I was on my second year of working in corrections and knew Henry well. I worked in the housing unit he worked in as we relieved each other of post. Normally he would would hang around and we would chat for a moment. I was very young and there was a lot he made me aware of that help me in my career in law enforcement.
RIP Henry

Your heroism and service is honored today, the twentieth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Rest In Peace
