Rest in peace Officer Walsh.

John Walsh was my grandfather. I wish I had had the chance to know him. My mother always spoke of him with great love and admiration. His presence in her life gave her the wisdom to choose a man of integrity, kindness, strength, and deep love. These qualities I am certain she saw in her father. So my tribute is one of profound gratitude for the man who raised my mother to be wise, strong, kind, and loving. Thank you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace
