Happy Heavenly birthday Uncle Buster. Although I never met you, my Mom and your sister Pedie always tells us about you and the many great times she had dancing with you, how you loved Christmas and what an amazing brother and human being you were. I have a copy of your badge and am very proud to be your niece. God bless you on your birthday!

In light Officer Rivera and Officer Mora’s passing, my Uncle recounted the events as described above as he was also a patrolman on patrol that day in 1961 in the 32nd Pct. He has never forgotten Officer Walsh. Thank you for your sacrifice. Just want to let your family know that you are remembered.

I attended Francis “Buster’s” funeral on my eleventh birthday 9/8/61 it was full honors funeral in Washington Heights. My grandmother was close to the family. I was inspired to wanna be a police officer from that very day . My uncle John played basketball with Buster and also became NYPD from 1969 to 1980. God bless Francis his memory and his family I’m sorry for the grief that his family and friends have suffered all these years.
