Reflections for Sheriff Marion Dekalb Wallace

The Holston Family will forever be grateful to you for your service & the ultimate sacrifice you gave Sheriff Wallace!! You were seeking justice for the murder of my great(x2) grandfather James Wesley Holston. James Wesley was once a Texas Ranger. He died at the age of 27 when he confronted Boone Marlow for stealing horses from the Indians after a treaty had been declared. James & his wife had their 3rd baby 2 days after he was shot & killed. That baby is my Great Grandfather James Henry.

We honor your life sir while we regret your death we are grateful!! Thank you for seeking justice for the murder of James Wesley Holston.
Rest in Peace Sheriff!!!

Michelle Holston

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 123rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Of course the criminals are glorified but the true hero is never thought of again. Well, among your law enforcement brethren, that is obviously not the case, as you will never be forgotten and always remembered as a hero. Merry Christmas sir and rest in peace always!

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend recently. Deputy Jeffery Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

I want to honor all of those who gave their life in the line of duty. Although your death was many many years ago, you are still a hero.

God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
