Thank you for your service and for helping to make America a safer place.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 59th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I am sure you are proud that so many in your family continued your legacy of protecting and serving. Time never diminishes respect. Today I pray for the solace of all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace

Almost another year gone by without you here. You are missed at every joyus and sad time in my life. I will always wonder about the "what ifs" if you had been here. So much time and so many things missed. It still hurts every year the same as it did the year before.

To the family, friends and co-workers I just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you today. Fifty five years, even though it's only been three years for us, sometimes it feels like a life time. All of you are in our prayers today, and we will never forget.
Sheriff Wadsworth look Clint up for me and give him a big hug for me.

Dear Grandpa,
Mother almost came home to you and Granny a few months ago. However, she is a fighter and God decided she didn't need to come home to you and Granny just yet. She tells me it is her "Wadsworth stubborness" in her. Please watch over her while so goes through the long hard process of recovering. It still amazes me that even though you have been absent for such a long time for your children's lives that they attribute who and what they are to you. You would have been proud.
Love, Brenda

I not only had the honor of being classmates in both Grammar
and High School with your two sons(Alfred and Albert) but also worked with them on the Prattville Police Force for a number of years. Both have brought honor to the "Wadsworth"
namesake for many years as members of the force. The City of Prattville will always be indebted to Chief Alfred Wadsworth and Captain Albert Wadsworth for their dedication
and work "TO PROTECT AND SERVE" the citizens of their hometown

We pause to honor the memory of Deputy Wadsworth. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his surviving family members.
May God comfort and keep each of you and may you continue to keep his memory alive by telling your children and grandchildren about him.

Dear Grandpa,
I don't know why but it seems that ever since the Faternal Order of Police placed the memorial as a tribute to those who died in the line of duty additonal officers are having to be added now than before. For the longest only 4 officers were lost in Autauga County and now all of a sudden there have been 2 more to add within a couple of years. I know this is some strange coincidence, but it still makes me think.
I know I was not born when you died and I can only imagine the pain and sadness that a family goes through when that dreaded news comes that a love one has lost their life in the line of duty. It will effect the lives of their family for all eternity. You may be gone but your legacy lives on forever in all of us.
Love your granddaughter, Brenda
P.S. Plese watch over and help Brett. He needs it the most. He is a lot like me restless and never quite feeling like he belongs anywhere and has a hard time living up to the "Wadsworth" name and everyone's expectations.

Well grandad we lost another Deputy in a car wreck just like you. Please help SGT. Burks as he comes home with you. You would be proud of dad handling this consedering the way both of you died alike. You would be really proud of Sheriff Johnson with the way he has helped the Family and Deputies during this time. I wish you could have spent some time with me and i hope i make you proud of me.
Love You and please stay with me and all the family as well as other Law Enforcement Officers everywhere.

Dear Grandpa,
You never got the chance to know me but I am your oldest granchild. I am your oldest daughter Jean's only child. I have grown up knowing all about you and how great of a man and officer you were. I only wish that Brett, Dena, Shea, Tracy, Stacy and I could have known you and you could have known all of us. I sometimes wonder how all of our lives would have been different if you had been here with us especially for Granny. However, God saw fit to take you home with him to watch over all of us in another way. You would be most proud of Alfred and Albert. They have worked really hard in your field of law enforcement. I terror still strikes all of us when we hear of anything happening to a Prattville Police Office for the fear that the same type tragedy could happen to our family again. Alfred and Albert did a great job raising me and I love them as if they were my own fathers. They have grown into great men and great human beings with compassion and good hearts. Your name of the memorial headstone at the courthouse states "Alfred W. Wadsworth" in my heart I know it is for you but everytime I see it makes me feel like it is Alfred's name there. Please watch over him and Albert with great care. I do not know if our family could take another "Wadsworth" name being placed on that stone.
Love, Brenda
