He was my grandpa. Obviously I never met him, he died when my mom was 8 and she was the oldest of 4. I wish I could have met him and breaks my heart that life is made up of these seconds of fate. Hope he is resting in peace and watching over my mom.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered. .
