Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Rest In Peace

I would like to express my condolences to the Vogel family. It has since been a long time since this tragedy. I have heard talk about this accident, but I was not familiar with the brother officer's name until I came to this site. I am currently the president for the Fraternal Order of Police/Blue Mt. Lodge #9 and would like to establish a Vogel Memorial for our local brother officers. If there is any family memebers, that would be able to share this officer's character and personality to me it would be greatly appreciated.
Fraternally Yours,
