Reflections for Lieutenant Ramon Villanueva-Moro

Ramon Villanueva Moro is my Great Uncle on my father's side. His father Antonio Villanueva was also a police officer. I never meet him, but my father (RIP) stated he was a kind and honorable person who was always willing to help others. I think my father a retired Major in the US Army joined the military to follow in his footsteps. Honored to see him here.

On this 70th anniversary of your heroic departure we remember you and your fellow officers from the Puerto Rico Police Department who also gave selflessly and heroically on this day. Rest in peace always and know that your LE brethren will not forget.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 64th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
