Reflections for Patrolman George Clayton Ayres

Patrolman Ayres you are the Grandpop that I never met. My mom your , your daughter Kitty , lost you at 5 years old. I think about you so often and I am so proud of your service and the life that you had given keeping our communities safe. I may not have known you, but I do through your children's memories and your legacy. I love you Pop Pop Clay! You are always missed. Say hi to Jesus face to face for me please. He has become my good friend . I know that you are with him!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
