Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never dimishes respect and you will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Gainesville, Texas is my home town and I had no idea the PD had lost a total of three officers over the years.
I retired after nearly 30 years in law enforcement and though Gainesville's losses were over 70 years ago, the stories of their losses still repeat themselves today.
This was a tragic accident. May God bless Officer Tune's family and descendant's.
