So many years have gone by- Willard is certainly remembered by his family --even distantly now-- for service and sacrifice, so much like what the current OSP and other officers are doing for us all today. Private Tubbs was killed 19 years before I was born- yet I will remember him through our family and honor his untimely sacrifice.
Thank you, sir.

He was a good man. I wish I could have known him but I was only seven when he died. He was my uncle and my father always had good words about him and they enjoyed each other. I believe his killer spent his time in the Oregon State penitentiary and his name ,I recall, was Pinson PINSON.Officer Tubbs left a wife and two fine daughteprs,Both serving in the health industry in Oregon. A tragedy that he should have died so young!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
