Reflections for Police Officer St. Elmo C. Trower
Elmo was the brother of my Great Grandfather W. Trower.
To this day Officer Trower is the only known line of duty death involving a Police Motorcycle Officer in our city’s established history.

St. Elmo Trower was my grandfather, my father(Linwood)'s father. I have a photograph, a large one, of him that has been in our family for many years. My dad never knew him; I hope he was a good man.

To the Trower Family of the former Princess Anne County,
I pay respect to, and honor your fallen family member, Police Officer St Elmo C. Trower, for his service to the former Princess Anne County, Virginia, my home for several years while growing to maturity. I too, served my community with the then Virginia Beach, Virginia Police Department.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 87th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
