My father and my hero.I have so many good memories. Your advice, guidance and life lessons are still with me today. Some how your character and sense of humor showed up in my child even though he never met you. In his daughter's eyes he is their hero.
Every August is so sad for me. I mourn the entire month. I miss you the same as I did in 1983.
You are in my thoughts every day. The pain is the same. I just had to learn to live with it .

Whether your assailants are caught and face justice here or not, they will surely face a much higher justice at a later time. Rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

I remember the night this happened. I was 17 years old and asleep when the phone rang for my dad late at night waking everyone up. He was a detective for Farmers Branch PD. Ive seen him run out the door a few times but this was different. He jumped in his unmarked car parked in front of the house and screamed off. I'll never forget that night. Sad

30 YEARS MY FRIEND. IT'S SAD THE DALLAS DA USED YOU TO WIN HIS JOB BACK. HE'S LET YOUR CASE GO AND IS DOING NOTHING TO BRING THE PEOPLE RESPONCEABLE FOR YOUR MURDER TO JUSTICE. WISH WE COULD GO FISHING AGAIN. I MISS YOU MY FRIEND

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 30th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.
