Reflections for Patrolman James H. Trepanier
My wife Janice never met her grandfather James. Her mother Joyce was only 10 when he was shot and 20 when he died in the Veterans hospital.
We are very proud of his heroism and thankful for the kind words we’ve read here.
We pray for the safety and wellbeing of all those who serve to help keep us safe.

I just read about the tragic loss of your life on Back the Blue in Minnesota. I am saddened that there are not more tributes to you on here. You deserve more recognition for the hero and protector that you were, but I realize that this happened so long ago, and that there were many who mourned your loss deeply. Thank you for your service.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 74th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. You will always be remembered and revered.

Patrolman Trepanier, your heroism is to be commended and I know your family was thankful to have you for those ten years. Even though you did pass from this world, I know your family had you even longer, always watching over them
The scum who shot you eventually paid for what they did, if not in this life, in the next even though no charges in your case were ever filed. You were wronged twice but God has a special place in Heaven for special people such as yourself.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
