Reflections for Officer Thomas Tinerella
Dad, you were taken so early from us, yet lately I feel closer. More so than ever ! Yet it's such a shame that your own department does not honer the sacrifice you made . Service to this country and your life to the town we lived in! Thank you Officer Down Memorial for remembering.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

I remember when this happend. I cried so hard. I knew his daughter Nancy. My Father was also a Part Time Streamwood Police Officer. Alex Olivette was my Father. I always said at that time I had 22 Fathers and they were all Police Officers. Nobody knew it at the time, but "Mr T" as I always called him, was my favorite. He would always listen if you had something to say.
Over the past 47 years, I often wondered if there was anything like this available. Just wanted to let him know, I remembered him today and I finally looked.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family for sharing their memoiies and devotion t you through their reflections.

Dad,
I think of you often; especially in June.
Although our time together was short, I'm so very thankful for the 16 years I had a "Dad".
I have so many fond memories of the fun things we did together; I especially remember our times together at the produce market, cooking sauce and making pasta, and of course, the day your bought me my first car!
Dad, you a very missed and always in my thoughts:)

Thomas James Tinerella Jr.

You were both (Thomas & Salvatore) gone long before I started at Streamwood but as a rookie, I learned about both of you from officers who had worked with you when I started. I consider myself lucky because I made my retirement but both of you always come to mind here and there. Your names are enshrined at the PD doorway and will always be remembered. Rest easy my brothers.
