Your heroism and service is honored today, the 64th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Special Agent Ashley, my Dad was a railroad cop for about 5 years before getting on my hometown’s PD. I know from his stories that being a Railroad Police Officer is not the easy job some like to think it is nor is it as safe as many might hope. Your murder sadly proved that. You and others like you help to protect one of America’s most vital assets it’s railroads. It’s sad that many rail lines are now cutting back on cops to save a few bucks when crime is on the rise and will cost them more in the long run. Yet, the Railroad cop is still out there doing the job. Heroes all.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
