Your great great granddaughter is here now and she is a beauty. Your great great grandson thinks he might want to be a cop and talks to your picture sometimes. You great grand daughter is an EMT and is now working the streets.
We wish we could have known you but we know you are protecting us from above.

As I am anticipating the birth of my second grandchild I wish that my daughter and grandson could have known their grandfather Ollie. My mother was only five when he was killed and to the day she died she grieved his loss.
The fact that his murderer only got 8 years is beyond belief however I know that my grandfather is watching over us from heaven.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Patrolman Thomas,
On today, the 83rd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Des Moines. And I wholeheartedly agree with the previsious reflection regarding the scumbag who murdered you-it sickens me that all he served was eight years.

EIGHT YEARS FOR THE COLD BLOODED MURDER OF A POLICE OFFICER. SOME SYSTEM. HE STILL HAD ONE MORE COURT TO FACE HOWEVER. I KNOW JUSTICE WAS SERVED IN THAT COURT.
