Your heroism and service is honored today, the 58th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your memory will always be honored and revered as time never diminishes respect. I paray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Virginia, thanks for sharing a daughter's devotion to her father. I am sure your dad is proud that his family continued his legacy of protecting and serving. You and your family are in my heart's embrace on ttis anniversary day.

Carl Thach was my father. He was killed in the line of duty when I was 10 years old. I am soon to be 66 years old. My mother worked for the MHP as a radio dispatcher for 30 years. My mother is now 85 years old. She raised a 10 year old, a three year old and a 6 week old. My brothers and I still live close to our mother. I have a daughter who is in Law enforcement and is participating in the LEAPS program. When my father was killed, none of these type programs were available. Thank God they are now. Our family has always been connected to the MHP and I grew up being proud that my father was a MHP and proud of the men and woman who were members. I think he would be proud of the way my mother handled her life and raised their children. I think he would be proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
