Proudly mailed out my NO PAROLE FOR COP KILLERS letter today. To the family, friends and colleagues of Detective Taylor: I am very sorry for your loss. It’s unfair that you have to keep reliving your pain, with each parole board hearing. To Detective Taylor: Thank You for your service and sacrifice. You are not forgotten. God Bless You All!

I remember Joe as a great guy to work with. After all these years, whenever I think about my few years in the 83 Pct Neighborhood Police Team (NPT) I think of Joe Taylor, whose code name was "Milk Man". RIP Joe

It was my honor to research newspapers, books and magazines and finally find your ID Card Photo from a 1977 Spring 3100 magazine article and make sure your photo was put on this site. I wanted to put a face to your heroism in the Line of Duty. I did the research because you are a brother officer and no matter how many years past, you will always be remembered. Rest Easy Hero.

Joe was a cop's cop. He was a Detective - Field Training Officer and I can't think of anyone more qualified to hold that position. He died because he was a great cop. I couldn't even count the cars in his funeral procession. I wish someone would submit a better photograph.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 36th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
