I have always remembered Sheriff Taylor's name because I begin to hear the incident talked about when I was just a toddler. Only 3 years old when it happened. That terrible act was committed by my half brother, whom I never knew. Only saw him once in my life. Since I got into genealogy I came across this site. It's very fitting for Sheriff Taylor to be remembered. Thanks for reading.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 72nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Even when every day of my life I preach about our Father calling his children home ,and knowing that no matter how one dies he/she will be with GOD. It makes my cry each and every single time a Sister or Brother in Blue dies in the hands of one committing a crime. Sheriff Horace Taylor, though you and I never met in life I can't wait to meet you up in Heaven. Very few Sheriff's jump into action such as you did with one of your Deputies to try and stop anyone else from getting hurt. You stood side by side with Dpty. Wood and I take my hat off to you Sir. You can rest my son, for your brothers and sisters now take over your watch here on earth. You just enjoy your new tour of duty of walking the streets of heaven, where all is good.

To Sheriff Taylor's Family, be strong he is in a better place for he has met his maker. To the Men and Women of the Fentress Cnty Sheriff, stay strong, stay on track for your brother and Leader is at rest. Now the people of Fentress Cntym, turn to you to stop the violence, bring all the bad guys to justice, and to keep all people safe. God Bless you all, My Prayers and thoughts will be with each and every one of you.
