Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I was too young to remember what Sheriff Taylor looked like but I do remember the day that I saw the ambulance pass by and saw his boot through the window. I lived in Marion at the time. My brother and I, not too long ago, were talking about this. These kind of things happening back then were really unheard of. Being small towns like Linville, Marion, etc., you would never dreamed that somone would open fire on anybody. I remember hearing about it at the post office and then running home to tell my mother. She was visibly upset so I knew it was really bad. I know my big brothers always looked up to him. I just found this website and it was an honor to leave my small rememberances.
