Rest In Peace Brother. You are not forgotten.

Officer Mike Robinson, (Ret)
Upland Police Dept. CA

Officer Sweet is my father, I was 14 months old when he was killed, my sister, Leslee, was barely 5 years old. The 14th of December, 2015 would have been Dad's 85th birthday. On that day, my daughter graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University, just days shy of her 21st birthday. Mom said birthdays were important to Dad, and I have no doubt that he was smiling from heaven. Happy Birthday Dad, love you and thank you for always being with me.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

We are the LAPD ! We do not leave any Men or Women behind, and we do not forget any LAPD Brother or Sister, who may have fallen in the line – of – duty.

As one who began his probation in the Harbor ("San Pedro PD"), and later served there two more separate tours, I can assure you that PM Sweet is not forgotten.

May His Soul Rest-In-Peace.

You have not been, nor will you ever be forgotten brother. In 2001 we created a memorial at Harbor Station for you and all who have fallen in the Harbor Area. As our officers go on patrol, they pass by and are reminded of your sacrifice. You will be eternally remembered, rest in peace.
