Officer Pat Sweeny, Thank You for your courageous Service and Sacrifice. Rest in Peace!
Though your murderer was never captured and punished for your murder I know that murderers have no peace. I Pray that this dastardly demon be forever hounded by the hounds of hell. May his torment be unending!

Officer Sweeney,
I wish I could speak with you, to hear your stories. I am honored to have met your great-great-great grandson. He shared what he knows about you. Makes me proud of where I work and walk in some of the places you walked.
Reading the story of your final moments is heartbreaking. But you wore your uniform with distinction and was loved by your community. For those of us who know your story, we thank you for your service and the sacrafices you made.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
