Again rest in peace Officer Stuteville. To Mr. Cogsgriff and staff you should try and correct the age of Officer Stuteville. It is a vital part of his family and honored heroic legacy! You can research this fact and find he was 28 years old when he was killed at Miami Airport in 1964. I visited his grave at Woodlawn North in Miami and it said 28 years. Thank you for giving accuracy to his integrity and dignity. Dr. Wilbank's book "Forgotten Heroes" might shed more light upon this fact. And back then I don't think anyone at 81 would work until 96. Again thank you.

Rest in peace Officer Stuteville. I believe you were 28 when you gave the ultimate sacrifice. The ODMP by mistake listed your age as 96. Rest in peace. A young and brave hero.

Rest easy hero. Where as your family has suffered your loss for so many years I hope they can find a measure of comfort knowing Metro Dade County is a better place due to your work here. God bless and keep your family.

Rest in peace Officer Stuteville. A hero of truth and honor. The Officer Down Memorial page listed your age as ninety-six, obviously a mistake. Your badge number was that . I believe you were twenty-eight when you sacrificed your life that night at Miami International Airport. Mr. Cuff should have contemplated his heinous actions of cowardly proportions. I don't think you were thirteen when you joined the force. maybe a police explorer.

The Sheriffs of Florida and their deputies will never forget the sacrifice you and your family made to uphold our laws and protect society.

Your name has been inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and in our hearts. May you forever rest in peace.

A scripture inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs Law Enforcement Memorial:

"Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called the children
of God." Matthew 5:9

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 49th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections

My sympathies to the Stuteville family after 44 years. I believe Officer Stuteville was on the force only 3 years. The book Forgotten Heroes stated officer Stuteville had certain facts. It sad his wife passed 15 years later. You can be sure your loved one was a true hero missed by his family, fellow oficers and community. Rest in peace Officer Stuteville.
