Reflections for Patrol Officer Gordon Elmer Stotz
Officer Stotz,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the USMC during World War II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Dear Daddy, This year I am missing you more and more. If you were here on earth, you would be holding your first great grand daughter, Maddie.
I have placed a large photo of you in uniform near me and talk to you most everyday. Sadly I was not contacted this past May to pay my respects to the fallen. It was on my birthday this year and we could have made it VERY special. I hope to finally meet you in heaven, God willing. Look down upon me with pride as I look to you for strength! I am getting old and my health is in question. I will always be your only baby girl. My love to all of our family with you. I

Dear Dad, You have been on my mind so much lately. It’s so difficult being alone with no family to love. My very first memories were visiting you every week with your parents at the cemetery. I've been sick for the last fifteen years, and I don't seem to be getting better. I wish I had a chance to know you. I pray you would be proud of me. Love you Dad!

Dear Daddy,
Happy New Year. All of you, my entire family are all with you. I am still living a mortal life, but each year they become more difficult and I feel more alone. 2020 was a horrible year for our earth. Innocent Police Officers ambushed & murdered for no reason. Please dad know you are in my heart. When God decides to bring me Home, please come to me, I so want to meet you. My Love,, “Peanut”

Dear Dad, I’m sorry I don’t remember you. I was just 38 days away from my 1st birthday, when you didn’t return from work. Mother said I took my first solo walk across the room to your arms just prior to your shift. Thank you for giving me Gary, a sibling to love, but like you, was called Home too early. Now I am alone, no parents, no siblings, no children or grandchildren. I can’t help but wonder how differently my life could have been, had God not needed you more than your family. I’m proud to have been your daughter, the little blue eyed, curly blonde you lovingly called your “peanut”.
