John, you served your community to the best of your ability and taught your son and grandsons what it means to sacrifice for others. We will always be honored to be a part of the same family. You probably know that those three small boys (your grandsons) grew to be fine citizens in other communities. I only wish their father (your son) had not been killed at such a young age. Your daughter's sons, also grew to be a fine men in the Salina community. You were a real role model for them all.

Family of Silas Stonebraker, your brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 102nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. The very fact you were still protecting your community at age 69 is heroic just in itself.
Rest In Peace.
