Your heroism and service is honored today, the 53rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

To the family of Officer Stone,
It is with sadness that I learned today of Mitchell Stone's death at the hands of a criminal just 1 block from my current residence in the South Loop. We share the same surname, Stone, and we happened upon the Gold Star Memorial and Park where we saw your name amongst others who have given their lives to protect the rest of us.
Thank you for your courage, bravery and selflessness. May you rest in peace.
