Spent a lot of time fishing from Armeni and the ramp under First South bridge. When my parents divorced in the 60's my mom lived across the street from Armeni. Was a lot of years later that I went to work at KCSO. Retired from there in 2003. I was lucky. He and so many others were not. We all need to remember EVERYONE that protects us from evil.

I have often visited Don Armeni park in West Seattle. That is a wonderful way to memorialize a fallen officer. If Don was also a fisherman, it is truly a wonderful memorial.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace
