Officer Stephenson, your Department has become a thing of the past but thanks to the day to day heroics of each and every Housing Authority Police Officer, it will never be forgotten. You sir, went well above and beyond and on a day off no less. It is the type of bravery and lack of self that you displayed that ever police officer, regardless of where he or she works, hopes to emulate. How tragic that you lost your life and though your family has more than enough reason to be proud, knowing you did save that woman is reason for your family, and all in law enforcement to hold you in high esteem.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

You are owed a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. In giving your own life, you saved another one, and you are truly a hero in my book. May God bless you and your family.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
