Uncle Manny i wish that i had the pleasure to have met you. Our family has never forgotten you, they always talk about you to the point i felt like i knew you. Now i have a bunch of boys, who always get compared to you and your brothers and it makes me happy. hopefully they can form the bond that you all had that last through generations.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 26th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Rest In Peace.

It's been so long but your memory is fresh in my mind. You used to Patrol my village. I would see you on your motorcycle every day. One day you asked where my parents were. "At work" I said...unusual back then to have two working parents. After that you'd always stop in to check on me and make sure I was o.k. You always reminded me to be good and do my homework and chores. Once it started to rain and you tried to let some air out of your motorcycle tires. Your fingers were so big, they couldn't push the little pin. I asked you why you wanted to let the air out and you said it would be safer on the slippery roads (coral back then). So I helped you. I pushed the pin until you told me it was good enough to keep you safe. I didn't know it then but now, looking back, I'm happy I got a chance to return the favor. I got a chance to keep you safe. I was so sad when I heard you were shot. Officer Aquino, I want your family to know - I'm safe...I have a great job, a wonderful husband, and good kids. I can almost imagine you stopping in on them and telling them to be good, do their homework and chores. You are alive in my memory and truly missed. THANK YOU for patrolling my village! I'm glad to have known you.

HI UNCLE MANNY, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU WERE ONE OF THE GREATEST POLICE OFFICERS THAT THE GUAM POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS EVER HAD. I BEEN TOLD THAT YOU WERE A VERY ACTIVE POLICE OFFICER AND THAT YOU LOVED TO FIGHT CRIME AND TAKE OUT THE BAD GUYS WHENEVER POSSIBLE YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO. I HEARD THAT YOU WERE SO BIG THAT YOU MADE THE POLICE BIKE LOOK LIKE A TOY WHENEVER YOU WERE ON IT. YOU ARE MY HERO AND I WILL PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF. I WILL DEDICATE MY SINCERNESS OF MY JOB FOR YOU AND MY FAMILY, AND WILL ONE DAY WANT TO BE AS ACTIVE AS YOU WHERE WHEN YOU WERE IN THE DEPARMENT. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN UNCLE MANNY. I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR LITTLE ONE GENNADINE FOR YOU BECAUSE SHE IS MY GODSISTER AND BECAUSE FAMILY LAST FOREVER. JBM

Mr. Aquino
I personally want to let you know your daughter is nothing short of amazing. You have nothing to worry about as she is one the strongest human beings I know. Her determination to make you proud is inspiration to me to do the same as my father has passed at a young age. Evan tho you were not around to see how beautiful of a women she has grown into I know you have had the biggest influence on her accomplishments. I could list all the materialistic things but I think the quality of person and morals are her greatest attributes. She accepts all her sucess with humble appreciation. I could not ask for a better friend as her loyalty to her friends is effortless and genuine. Your daughter is very proud of you and everything you accomplished in your short time here. You are her role model and always will be. I also promise to be a great friend to her as she has been for me. Thank you for blessing me with such a beautiful friend that I will always cherish. Your memory will always live thru her so watch down on her with a smile of pride and satifaction of knowing she is going to be the best at whatever she puts her mind to. I write you this because I belive her efforts and accomplishments go unoticed and the only people she aims to please is YOU and her mother. So this is a heads up as if you didn't know how special of a daughter you had.

Officer Aquino, on this 21st anniversary of your sad, tragic event, my heart goes out to your family and friends. I also pray for the officer who shot you. A strange incident that took two lives that day. It should never have happened.
I can see by the reflections left by your family that you are a very special guy. I’m also glad to see that they know you never truly left them.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
