Reflections for Correctional Officer Boyd H. Spikerman
Boyd was a friend. I also went to UW-Platteville. Boyd was kind and he was hilarious! RIP Boyd. You were a good person.

Spike was a friend, roommate, and fraternity brother. There was no one funnier or more fun loving than Spike. We still tell stories which only get better with age. It was an honor to be at Oxford on the 40th anniversary of his brutal murder to honor his memory. Thanks so much to those officers present to help honor that memory.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 28th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today.
Rest In Peace.

I am not a correctional officer. I proud to say Boyd was a friend through many years of college. He was in my wedding and he told me I was going to be in his. I just wanted to leave a note saying how grateful I am for your assistance in keeping Boyd's memory alive.
All of you take care.
