To the officer from Tennessee I would love to meet this officers daughter. We did not know he has a child. I know my uncle would want us to take care of her and welcome her into the familia.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 27th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Everyday I talk with this man's daughter. It is an honor to know her. She never knew him. She was born in the spring of the same year. As an officer myself I only wish I could help her, knowing there is no way, with the desire to spend a few minutes with him. I respect and care for her deeply. I know the dangers of my job. She knows the dangers. Yet, She has dedicated her life to following in her fathers footsteps. She recently graduated the Coast Guard Academy and is actively pursuing a career in law enforcement. What I am trying to say is I know how wonderful she is and how much she means to me and that this one of many officers who have sacrificed themselves are not forgotten. That even though not much is said of this one man, his legacy lives on. That his life thrives inside the child that he never was able to spend her first Christmas with. So I thank you.
