I think of Det. Soukup on my every birthday 12/16. I worked with his son Allen many years ago.

i was only 5 years old when frank was killed,my name is kevin lapage ,son of one of the officers that was friends with and partner to frank,i barely remember that night and recall when my dad returned home and mom hugged him,dad has saved the detective magazine in which this story was written,i am 55 years old now and dad is 75,he was 27 years old when this tragedy happened.dad rarely has spoken of this.our country is missing the leadership the nation needs to respect and honor our current, retired, and fallen police officers.i am saddened of the direction our country has been led the past 8 years.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I am sure you are proud that your family continued your legacy of protecting and serving.
Rest In Peace

My grandfathers sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten by any of the officers from LPD. His photo, along with others hang on the walls the officers walk by every day. My father recently retired from the Lincoln Police Department as a Captain after 37 years. I currently work for the Police Department as well.
