Officer Slook was my grandmother's uncle. He was already a widower & left behind one eleven-year-old son, Billy Slook.
He was a member of the Walter M. Gearty American Legion Post #315. Our family recently had a tree planted in his honor in Philadelphia.
We are honored to have such a brave man in our family tree & hope that all Police Officers remain safe & able to do their duty without grave danger.
