Reflections for Police Officer Ronald J. Siver

I sit here reading this and I have tears running down my face thinking about how unselfish and caring this man must have been to have sacrificed his life for the life of his partner. There are not many people in this world that would do that...he probably did it w/o giving it a second thought. "Hero" just doesn't seem like a big enough word to describe what he did...I am in awe of what an amazing person he must have been.

Ron--I Wanted you to know that after all these years I still reflect on what a great loss it was to lose you. It was a privilage and a honor to not only know you but to work along side you when you were with MCSO in my early career with the Fairport Police Department. Unfortunately I was not able at the time to pay my final respect to you, but find solace that my wife Laural who was also with MCSO was able to attend at the time. It has been 19 years and someday I have no doubt we will talk as brothers again.
