This is an amazing story, the people carried out vigilante justice... To avenge a fallen officer. Very Meta, raises questions about authority and Justice, and who should decide what that is. The will of the people vs. the rule of law, which ideally should be the same, yet not when the people are wrong... Uninformed, unaware, and irresponsible. Quandary of governance.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 128th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
